Director of Professional Services

Job Purpose: 

As Director of Professional Services you will lead and grow all aspects of Catelas’s field operations organization for a defined sales region. As a key member of the Area Management team, you contribute and support growth of the field organization, insuring that it remains extremely focused on understanding and meeting customer requirements, building long-term relationships, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. You work closely with the Regional Vice President and Directors of Professional Services in other regions to drive total customer satisfaction, services business enhancements and growth, as well as financial management of the services business. This position requires a dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual, with good oral and written communication skills. Individuals will also possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and have experience managing and growing a professional services consulting practice.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage services team which includes pre and post sales engineers, Project Managers (in conjunction with National PMO Director and service coordinators
  • Manage budgets and P&L for the regions
  • Drive Service and product revenue by participating in sales meetings with customers
  • Meet sales and services targets
  • Track and manage customer satisfaction, including addressing areas of concern
  • Act as the Regional Senior Services Resource for all customer-facing meetings
  • Drive local and corporate best practices throughout the regional team to ensure consistent, high quality and repeatable solutions
  • Participate in the planning and budget process as it relates to planning, goal attainment, expense management, and revenue recognition
  • Track and forecast financial targets and provide reporting and submission of financial data to support corporate actions
  • Evangelize the Services offering across the Regional team, leveraging a consistent message and method for planning and delivery
  • Lead and/or contribute to the revisions of presentation materials for both Corporate and Regional specific documents
  • Support all escalations in the Region for services
  • Ensure quality delivery of service engagements through methodology and management of resources both internal and third party
  • Work with key OEM’s to drive revenue
  • Successfully manage subordinate level managers, and participate and drive weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with core and broad team members
  • Manage the coordination of activities for a the geographic region with regional responsibility for oversight in terms of costs, methods and staffing
  • Must effectively work with and influence senior internal personnel within the function, peers in other functions, and has direct customer contact.

Job Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts and management experience in a distributed environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as presentation, customer, business, and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage the financial elements that make up the Region
  • Comprehensive experience in the strategy, process and methodology for business enablement and transformation through technology.

Education and Experience: 

  • Experience in managing and enhancing a world-class field services organization, as well as growing a Professional Services Consulting practice
  • Experience in managing and enhancing a world-class field services
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field based services management position with a minimum of 10 direct staff is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred
