Job Purpose:
The Sr. Technical Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. You will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and advocate for our products.
To support pilots & customer deployments we are looking to hire a technical lead. Ideally, this person would be skilled working with MySQL & messaging systems with between 7-10 years’ work experience. This person would install Catelas, handle database changes, new war files, content importing etc and using front end to get it set up and tested in a deployment. In particular,
The major responsibilities of this role will include, however are not limited to the following:
Job Responsibilities:
- Experience installing, configuring, deploying and trouble-shooting enterprise web applications
- Hands-on experience working with the following:
- Application servers (Tomcat preferred) and deploying web applications
- Relational databases (MySQL preferred), knowledge of SQL and database configuration
- Experience configuring and managing Solr/Lucene preferred
- Writing scripts to import data into MySQL, automate tasks, backup/restore database, etc.
- Deep understanding of product configuration settings and tuning product setup based on available system resources
- Ability to quickly learn product functionality in an agile environment
- Ability to diagnose system/product issues and recommend solutions
- Experience working with customers to answer product questions and resolve support issues
- 50% of the job will require you to travel and meet with current clients
Job Knowledge/Skills:
- Skilled working with MySQL & messaging systems
- Between 7-10 years’ work experience with large implementations
- Handle database changes, new war files, content importing using front end to get it set up and tested in a deployment
- Experience and familiarity of our products and line of business a plus
- A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred
